Oklahoma City resident Mayme Kathryn Kelley, 72, passed away Thursday, May 21, 2015 in Oklahoma City.
Services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at Walker Funeral Service Chapel with Vicki Thorp officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery. The family will be at the funeral home Monday evening from 4-6 p.m. to visit with friends and family.
Mayme Kathryn Kelley was born November 21, 1942 in Shawnee, Oklahoma to Robert W. Leese and Christine (Kelley) Leese. She graduated from Shawnee High School and earned a Master’s Degree from Oklahoma State University. She started her career as an English Teacher in Albuquerque, N.M. She later returned to Oklahoma and worked as a Board Certified Realtor. She enjoyed knitting, traveling, reading, was very creative and a great artist. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a son: Winfred “Winn” Clark Stansberry.
She is survived by a Son: Jon Stansberry of OKC; Grandson: Sam Stansberry of OKC; Sister: Cindy Davis and husband Turner of Shawnee; Niece: Jessica Becker and husband Troy of Shawnee, their children: Chris and Nick; Nephew: Bobby Wegener and wife Meredith of OKC, their children: Harper Rose and Henry; and several cousins, other family and friends.
