Delmer "Dan" Eugene Maranell

Former Tecumseh resident, Delmer Eugene “Dan” Maranell, 84, passed away Saturday, July 25, 2015 in Edmond, OK. Services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 28, 2015 in Walker Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Leroy Kerbo officiating. Burial will be in Tecumseh Cemetery. Dan was born September 23, 1930 in Hartley, Iowa to George Cecil Maranell and Violet (Coziah) Maranell. He attended grade school in Iowa and moved to Washington where he attended high school and college. He married Avis (Smith) on December 16, 1950. He served in the United States Army joining in 1947. He was a member of Oak Park Church of God and enjoyed wood working, gardening, collecting, and going to the firing range. Preceded in death by his parents, wife, daughter: Cindy Robinson, and sibling: Melvin, Marlin, Ruth, Dorothy, Joyce, and June. Survived by: 3 Children: JoElla Thomas and husband Gary of Edmond, Danny Maranell and wife Mary of Tecumseh, and Terry Maranell and wife Rosetta of OKC; 16 Grandchildren, several great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
