Johnnie “Kathleen” Graves peacefully went to her Lord at her residence on Sunday, August 9, 2015 at the age of 92.
She was born March 26, 1923 in Beggs, Oklahoma, but spent most of her life in the Shawnee area. For many years she and her first husband Mack Vinson owned and operated a large dairy and chicken farm in Shawnee. She loved to cook, and enjoyed spending time with her grandsons. Her last few years were spent at a Senior Living Center in Edmond, Oklahoma.
She was preceded in death by her parents John Freeman and Fern Barefoot, a brother William Eldridge, and grandson Mack Thomas Weaver.
Survivors include one son, Mike Vinson and wife Karen of New Braunfels, TX; two daughters, Glenda Thompson of Fort Worth, TX, and Maryanne Hamm of Edmond, OK; seven grandsons and their spouses, Derek & Glenda Weaver, Justin Thompson, James & Carmen Hamm, Rick Vinson, Rusty & Alesha Vinson, Michael Vinson, and Kel & Sara Vinson; three great grandsons, Cole Vinson, Cameron Weaver, and Ryan Hamm.
Graveside services will be held at Resthaven Memorial Park on Friday, August 14, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. Open viewing is at Walker Funeral Service up until Friday, August 14, 2015.
