Joanna Jane Mohler

Joanna Jane Mohler passed from this life after a short unexpected illness on August 11, 2015 and will be awaiting the return of her Savior, Jesus Christ. She was born in Oklahoma City but lived most of her childhood and adult life in Salina, California. Joanna earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition at San Jose State University and later worked for Indian Health Service as a Public Health Nutritionist from 1983 to 1997. She was a long time member of the Shawnee Seventh Day Adventist Church where she devoted endless time to the music and children’s programs. Joanna’s passions were gospel singing and world-wide travel. She is survived by her devoted and loving husband of 42 years, Mack Mohler of Shawnee, a son, Dave Slade of Albuquerque, a daughter: Renee Cravens of Stillwater, 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Joanna will be missed by a magnitude of friends and colleagues. A viewing for friends and family will be from 6 to 7:30pm on Friday, August 14, 2015 at Walker Funeral Service. Services will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, August 15, 2015 at the Shawnee Seventh Day Adventist Church with Elder Jerry States officiating. Entombment will be 1:30 pm Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at Garden of Memories in Salinas, California.
