F. Louise Johnston

F. Louise (Roark) Johnston age 79 of Shawnee died Friday, August 21, 2015 at her home. Services will be Monday, August 24, 2015 2:00 P.M. in Walker Funeral Service Chapel. Pastor Arron Grantz and Pastor Stephanie Stephens will be officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Park Her casket will be open until service time and not opened after the services. She was born December 20, 1935 in Sand Springs, Oklahoma to John George and Bertha Frances (Husted) Slack. She graduated from Will Rogers High School in Tulsa, attended OBU and graduated from University of Maryland in May of 1984. She had been an Aircraft Inspector for Tinker Air Force Base. She married Kenneth Roark on May 27, 1956, he died October 3, 1977. Then to Cecil Johnston on Oct. 3, 1979, he died on Aug 17, 2014. She had lived in Shawnee most of her life since 1954. A member of St. Marks United Methodist Church, Shawnee Diamond K Kiwanis, Shawnee Senior Citizen Center, serving on their Board for many years. Preceded in death by: Parents: both husbands; 2 Brothers: James Husted and John Lewis Slack. Survived by: Son: Bert F. Roark and Elizabeth: granddaughter: Mikhayla Roark; grandsons: Matthew D. Roark and Truman D. Barrett; great-grandsons; Liam Roark and Truman D. Barrett, Jr.; Son: Richard L Roark and Peggy; grandson: Kenneth H. Roark; great-grandson: Canan Roark; grandson: Chad A. Roark and April; great-granddaughter: Tabitha Roark. Daughter: Anita R. Roark and R. Frank Hudson; grandson: Trey Hudson and Cali; great-grandsons: Talyn S. Hudson and Noah R. Hudson; granddaughter: Beth White; great granddaughters Riley M. O’Dell and Hanna J. White. Son: William C. Johnston and Gay; grandsons: Tyler W. Johnston and Patrick R. Johnston. Daughter: Patricia I. Smith-Derk; grandson: Christopher W. Smith.
