Carlos Doyle Reese

Carlos Doyle Reese, 75, of Shawnee, died Saturday, August 22, 2015 in a Norman hospital. Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, August 27, 2015 at Resthaven Memorial Park with Rev. Mike Wester & Rev. Clint Dawkins officiating. Doyle was born January 5, 1940 in Raymondville, Texas to Chester William & Eula M. (Britt) Reese. He graduated from Shawnee High School in 1958. On June 1, 1958 he married his childhood sweetheart, Sonja Emmons in Tecumseh. They had been married for 57 years. He lived in the Shawnee area most of his life, and worked in Quality Control at Tinker. He was preceded in death by his parents, a step-mother, Ruth Reese and a brother, Jimmy Reese. Doyle is survived by his wife: Sonja, of the home; 2 Daughters & Sons-in-Law: Carla & Greg Dinsmore of Earlsboro and Doyleen & Mike Wester of Shawnee; Grandchildren & their Spouses: Matt & Samantha Dinsmore of Seminole, Mallory Dinsmore of Earlsboro, Josh Wester of Shawnee, Allison & Jason Enright of Earlsboro, Michael & Catherine Wester of Tahlequah, and Stephanie & Chris Rakovan of Shawnee; A number of great-grandchildren, nieces & nephews; and a Brother: Richard Reese of Eufaula.
