Ewing Keltner

Ewing M. Keltner 92, of Shawnee, Oklahoma passed into the presence of God on Saturday, September 19, 2015, at 6:00 a.m. He was born in Valley View, Texas on January 7, 1923, the only child of Guy and Edith Keltner. He was married to Pauline Keltner on September 16, 1949 and had one Son Keith Keltner, 2 Grandsons, Lance (Ami), Great Granddaughter Avery, and Brent (Grace), and one Granddaughter Lana Thorpe (Joshua). He attended school at Stewart, Okla., graduating in 1942. He spent 3 years in the South Pacific with the Army Air Corp during WWII. In 1957 the family moved to Shawnee. Mr. Keltner worked for Sears for over 30 years. The Keltner’s have been members of the Shawnee Nazarene Church since 1957. He had taught a grade school boys Sunday School Class for many years and ran the church sound system. He and his wife received the Distinguished Service Award from the Nazarene Church. Note to my family. “Always keep your heart right with Jesus, it’s the only thing that counts”. “I recommend him to all my family and friends as the only source of true help and blessings.” Services will be in the Church of the Nazarene, Shawnee, OK on Saturday September 26, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be 3:00 p.m. at Arpelar Cemetery, under the direction of Walker Funeral Service. The family will be at the funeral home Friday evening to visit with friends and family.
