Jody Lee Duggan of Shawnee passed away October 10, 2015 at her home in Shawnee, Oklahoma. Jody Lee was born September 18, 1957, in Pratt, Kansas. Her parents are George Allen Woodward and Laura Mae (Priddy) Woodward. Jody was married January 16, 1982 to Ricky Lee Bailey in Gage, Oklahoma. Jody gave birth August 27, 1984 to her daughter Becky Lee Bailey. Ricky Lee Bailey passed away on June 27, 2002 in Edmond, Oklahoma. Jody married Calvin James Duggan on July 21, 2007 in Edmond, Oklahoma. Jody Lee is a grandmother and was baptised into Christ at Northridge Church of Christ in Shawnee, Oklahoma on January 12, 2015. She is survived by her husband Calvin James Duggan of the home in Shawnee, Oklahoma; daughter Becky Lee Webb and husband Chad Jason Webb of Wellston, Oklahoma. Grandsons Lane Michael Webb, Cord Isaac Webb, and a baby on the way; mother Laura Mae Woodward of Moore, Oklahoma; mother-in-law Twila (Bailey) Moore of Laverne, Oklahoma (passed away Oct. 11, 2015); father-in-Law Arthur James "Cactus" Duggan of Shawnee, Oklahoma; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Jody Lee had no siblings. Jody Lee Duggan was preceded in death by her father George Allen Woodward of Moore, Oklahoma; her first husband Ricky Lee Bailey of Edmond, Oklahoma; father-in-law Ora Dewey Moore of Laverne, Oklahoma; mother-in-law Peggy Lou Duggan of Shawnee, Oklahoma; grandparents, uncles, aunts, nephews, and cousins. Upon moving to Shawnee, Oklahoma in 2012 with husband James, Jody spent her time being a homemaker and raising her grandson Cord Isaac Webb until the age of 2 1/2. She was very proud and loved keeping her grandson Cord Isaac during this period and the love of Cord by his grandmother was very evident. Jody was diagnosed with small cell lung cancer right after the Christmas holiday on December 27, 2014. Jody fought this disease and received multiple rounds of chemo treatment at St. Anthony Hospital in Shawnee, Oklahoma. Jody and husband James found their church home at Northridge Church of Christ and loved worshipping and studying God's word and fell in love with the congregation. Jody was known for her warmth, outgoing and uplifting personality, her kindness, her hard work ethic, and a very loving and inviting smile which was always noticed whether situations were good or not. Her smile lent love and encouragement to others. Jody loved her family very, very much and her family loved her. She was an inspiration during her sickness and suffering till the very end, keeping that trademark smile while enduring intense pain. She fought the good fight and ran the race set before her and kept her faith. During her final weeks and days, she was greatly loved, encouraged, and supported by her church family of Northridge Church of Christ and her husband James. Jody was able to spend her final moments at her home in Shawnee which she loved so much. She was an exceptionally strong and amazing woman who was full of love and will be greatly missed, but her spirit is rewarded in Heaven. Services to be held Thursday October 15, 2015, at 2:00 p. m., at Northridge Church of Christ in Shawnee, Oklahoma under the direction of Walker Funeral Service of Shawnee. Viewing during the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. Service will be officiated by Jody Jones, pastor of Northridge Church of Christ in Shawnee, Oklahoma.
