Carol Jane Lynn

Shawnee resident, Carol Jane Lynn, 78, passed away Wednesday, October 21, 2015 in Shawnee. Services will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday, October 24, 2015 at Walker Funeral Service with Dwyane Dennis officiating. Burial will follow at Tecumseh Cemetery. Carol Jane Lynn was born September 7, 1937 in Wewoka, Oklahoma to Victor and Ethel Berry. She graduated from Shawnee High School in 1955, earned a Bachelor Degree at O.U., and earned her Master’s Degree from Northeastern State University. On December 17, 1960, she married Fred James “Jim” Lynn Jr., in Shawnee, OK. Mrs. Lynn taught Speech Therapy in Dewey, OK, Bartlesville, OK, and Shawnee, OK. She was a member of Delta Gamma, the Shawnee Garden Club, the Pottawatomie Co. Historical Society, and enjoyed traveling. She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her Husband: Fred James “Jim” Lynn of the home; 2 Sons: Greg Lynn of Alexandria, VA, and Randy Lynn of Tulsa; 5 Grandchildren: Nicholas Lynn, Jennifer Lynn, Brianna Lynn, Laura Lynn, and Jake Lynn.
