Phyllis Kathleen “PK” Schimmel Treat, 76, of Shawnee, passed from this life to her new life on Saturday, December 12, 2015 at her home.
Services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at Walker Funeral Service Chapel with Ellis Gregg officiating & Rocky Barrett saying a few words. Phyllis was born May 2, 1939 in Shawnee, Oklahoma to Vernon “Doc” Schimmel and Mildred Louise Peltier Beagles. She was married to Larry Orville Treat for 24 years.
She was a member of the Citizen Potawatomie Nation, and worked as a Technician of Assembly worker at United Dynamics until retiring this year due to health.
Phyllis was an avid dancer, singer, and ball player, at least in the eyes of all her grandchildren. She enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren immensely. She would spend many of her weekends playing her favorite machine with her sister and brother at various casinos across the state. She was never in it for the big payout, just for the fun and enjoyment.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Vernon “Doc” Schimmel and Mildred Louise Peltier Beagles, her husband, Larry O. Treat, brothers Richard, James and Robert Schimmel, sister, Mildred Ann Henry, and a son, Stacey Len Treat.
Survivors left to keep her memories alive are her children: Larry S. Treat, Shawnee, Stephanie Clutter, Shawnee, Shane Treat, Kingston, Susan Gregg and husband Bryan, Shawnee. Numerous grandchildren: Michael Treat and wife Jennifer, Rochester, Jonathan Treat, Shawnee, Kevin Treat and wife Kristen, Shawnee, Jacob Treat and wife Shanna, Norman, Hunter Treat, Shawnee, Shane Clutter and wife Lee Ann, Kingston, Derek Clutter and wife Kathy, Oklahoma City, Tabitha Sandoval and husband Herman, Oklahoma City, Dusti Gray and husband Jason, Moore, Brooke Treat, Eureka Springs, Kaitlyn Gregg, Stillwater, and Caleb Gregg, Shawnee, and several great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She is also survived by her 2 brothers: Gerald Schimmel, Shawnee, Dennis Schimmel and wife Crystal, Shawnee, and sister: Janice Degraffenreid, Broken Arrow.
