Juanita Catherine Denton Wilson Arrington, 95, passed away Friday, December 25, 2015 in a local nursing home. She was born January 23, 1920 in Hollis, Oklahoma to Henry Jeptha & Sara Catherine (Adams) Denton. She graduated from Oklahoma A & M (now Okla. State University) in 1942. Juanita taught 8th grade American History at Shawnee Schools from 1961 – 1980. From March 16, 1943 – Dec. 16, 1958 she was married to Harry William Wilson. He preceded her in death and she was then married to Ralph J. Arrington from 1973 – 1988. Juanita was a passionate tennis and ping pong player, and loved to play bridge and dominoes. Earlier in life she enjoyed extensive traveling in Panama City, Central America. She was a member of Central Church of Christ, and a charter member of Northridge Church of Christ; as well as a member of AARP, Kappa Kappa Iota; and Retired Teacher’s Association She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, her parents-in-law, Tom & Eula Wilson; brothers: James William Henry Denton, Horace Denton; sisters: Vivian Denton, and Ruth Melton, and a daughter: Regina Wilson. She is survived by her Daughter & Son-in-Law: Michelle Tallchief & Tommy Brandon of Shawnee; Son & Daughter-in-Law: Bill & Vickie Wilson of Shawnee; Grandchildren: Amy Tallchief of Tulsa, Russ Tallchief of Okla. City, Trey Wilson and his wife Racheal of Seattle, WA; Alexandrea & Jeff Martindale of Broken Arrow, and Madeline Wilson of Okla. City; Great-Grandchildren: Wanbli Tallchief of Okla. City, Korbin Wilson and Harry Wilson, both of Seattle, WA; and numerous nieces and nephews across the country.
