Virginia Elizabeth Shaw

The family will be at Walker Funeral Service to receive friends on Monday from 6:30pm to 8:00pm. Services will be 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at Walker Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Dave Price and Rev. Ron Baldridge officiating. Burial will follow at New Hope Cemetery in Meeker. Virginia Elizabeth Shaw was born April 16, 1920 in Meeker, Oklahoma the daughter of Benjamin J. Christy and Virgia (Bragg) Christy. She attended Meeker schools and married Orin F. Shaw on February 21, 1941. She spent much of her life as a homemaker but worked at Tinker Air Force Base during WWII. She was a lifelong member of the First Christian Church in Meeker. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, shopping, and music, but most of all spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son: Jerry Keith Shaw, an infant son: Robert Christy Shaw, and a sister: Mary Lou Way, and a great-granddaughter: Summer Savannah Graves. Survived by: 2 Daughters: Ruth Anne West and husband Paul of Shawnee, Marsha Price and husband Eugene of Shawnee, Daughter-in-law: Pricilla Shaw of Shawnee, 4 Grandchildren: Robin Shaw Wiley and husband Jeff of S.C., Kristin West Maddox and husband Russell of Shawnee, Melanie Shaw Graves and husband Michael of Iowa, O.J. Price and wife Amy of Shawnee, 15 Great-Great-Grandchildren: Darci, Aubri, Maci, Noemi, Graci, Jeffery, Brooklynne, Annaliese, Shelby, Sterling, Sophia, Matthew, Robert, Madison, and Joseph, 4 Great-grandchildren: Sarah, Brylee, Emily, and Elliana, And numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
