Visitation: The family will be at Walker Funeral Service from 5pm to 7pm on Monday to receive friends. Funeral Services will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at Mammoth Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Hazelwood officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Mission:Dignity, Care of Mammoth Baptist Church, P.O. Box 642, Meeker, OK 74855 Britt Jones Jr. was born October 18, 1926 in Shawnee, Oklahoma to Britt Jones Sr. and Julia (Rasnick) Jones. He attended Shawnee Schools. He married Dolores (Clark) in June of 1945. At age 17, he joined the United States Navy and served during World War II. After returning, he worked for a short while before joining the United States Army and later the United States Air Force before retiring in 1965. After his military retirement, he worked as a salesman for Sears for 22 years and retired from there. He became a Christian in 1967. His hobby was woodworking, but his passion was learning and teaching the word of God! Preceded in death by his father, mother, step-father, and a sister: Lovetta. Survived by: Wife: Dolores Jones of the home, 6 Children: Pat Fay of TX, Terry Jones of MD, Penny Hazelwood and husband Mike of Meeker, Donna Fleming and husband Wayne of KY, Britt Eric Jones and wife Toni of Shawnee, Scarlet Ratliff of OKC, 14 Grandchildren, 9 Great-Grandchildren, 1 Sister: Jessie, 1 Brother: Darrell, And several other family members and friends.
