Wilford L. Petricek was born September 5, 1925 in McLoud, Oklahoma to Mattie and Jake Petricek, and passed away February 7, 2016 in Oklahoma City at the age of 90. He graduated from McLoud High School in 1943. After graduation he joined the Unites States Navy and served until 1946. After returning home he met the love of his life, where else, but at the county basketball tournament in Shawnee, where she was playing for the Bethel Wildcats. This young lady was Melba June (McCabe). They were later married which lasted 66 years. Mr. Petricek worked at Tinker Air Force Base before retiring as a Quality Assurance Specialist in Flight Test. He always loved farming and raising cattle on the home place, and is where he spent retirement. He also enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 children; Joyce Ann, David Lymone, and Mark, and a brother: Orven Petricek.

Brody Little, Breken Little, Maci Dunn, Jaxon Dunn,
Paityn Dunn, and Jayden Lawson Petricek,
1 Brother: Bob Petricek and wife Mary Ellen of McLoud,
And several loving nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
