Billy L. VanFleet

Billy L. VanFleet, 79, of Shawnee, OK, passed away Monday, February 15, 2016 in a local hospital. Memorial Services will be 10:00 A.M. Monday, February 22, 2016 at Walker Funeral Service with Travis Hurst officiating. Billy Luther VanFleet was born July 2, 1936 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Virgil and Pauline (Lewis) VanFleet. He married Patsy (Hudson) on December 2, 1994. He served in the United States Marines. He worked for several years for the Oklahoma Dept. of Transportation before retiring. Billy loved his cat “Sam” and made friends everywhere he went. He will be greatly missed by many. Preceded in death by his parents, his wife, a brother: Otto VanFleet, and sisters: Rosemary Haynes, Geneva Ico, and Ethel Norton. Survived by his sisters: Barbara Catalos, Betty Dean, Children: Billy Kent VanFleet, Kelly VanFleet, Step-Children: Peggy, Veronica, Valerie, and Hugo, And many other family members and friends.
