Joe Paul Gouker

Joe Paul Gouker, 76, of Shawnee, went to be with the Lord on Monday, March 21, 2016 after a long battle with cancer. Services will be 10:00 A.M. Friday, March 25, 2016 at Walker Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Larry Sparks officiating. Burial will follow at New Hope Cemetery in Meeker. Joe was born March 18, 1940 in Meeker, Oklahoma to William and Annie Gouker. He married Joyce (Green) who preceded him in death. He worked as an electrician and handyman of over 50 years. He loved gardening, working on cars, sitting outside on the patio with his buddy Flash, and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, 2 brothers: Bill Gouker and Frank “Shorty” Gouker and a sister: Phyllis Anderson. He is survived by 2 Daughters: Jessie Moore of Shawnee, Paula Hardesty and husband Michael of OKC, 3 Grandchildren: Austin Hardesty and wife Nichole, Chelsea Hardesty, Cody Moore, 3 Brothers: Troy Gouker and wife Loyce, Dub Gouker and wife Patsy, Kenny Gouker and wife Darla, 2 Sister: Emma Wilson and Larry Stein, Lillie Rose And numerous nieces, nephew, other family and friends.
