Alyce “Joan” Webb, 77, died Tuesday, May 3, 2016 in Shawnee, Oklahoma. Services will be 10:00 A.M. Thursday, May 5, 2016 at First Baptist Church with Rev. Ray Miller officiating. Burial will at 2:00 PM at Floral Haven Cemetery in Broken Arrow. Joan was born January 14, 1939 in Prairie Grove, Arkansas to Homer & Velma Rhea (Craft) Watts. She graduated from Tulsa Central High School. On May 27, 1961 she married Mel Webb. She was branch manager at Local Federal Savings and Loan for 20 years, retiring in 2001. Family was the joy of her life. Joan was a very loving, caring Christian woman, who cherished God and her family. She always put others before herself. She loved being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, along with her husband of 55 years, who were the light of her life. She was a member of First Baptist Church, where she and Mel taught Sunday School for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents and a son: Mel “Bub” Webb II; granddaughter: Jessi Collins-Webb; and 2 brothers. Survived by: Her husband: Mel Webb of the home; Daughter: Allison Webb of Ardmore; 3 Grandchildren: April Makenzie McElroy, & her husband Jason, Madison Mitchell and her husband Kyle, Micco Haney and his wife Erin; 10 Beautiful Great Grandchildren; 2 Sisters: LaVelle Jones & her husband Johnnie, and Mary “Libby” Porter; and numerous nieces, nephews, many other relatives and dear friends.
