Joyce Vernell Smith age 78 of Newalla, Oklahoma died Thursday, May 26, 2016 in Oklahoma City. Services are set for Wednesday, June 1st at 2:00 P.M. in Walker Funeral Service Chapel in Shawnee. Rev Larry Sparks officiating. Burial to follow at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery. Joyce was born June 6, 1937 in Hollis, Oklahoma to William Vernon and Goldie May (Mefford) McElroy. She was a Greenhouse owner and operator. She married Glen Smith on June 21, 1955. He precedes her in death along with her parents, 2 daughters and 3 brothers. She is survived by Son: Danny Smith, Daughters; Dianna Lynn Smith, Donna and husband Don Charlow, Denise and husband Steve Hood. 11 Grandchildren and 17 Great Grandchildren.
