June Dutton-Tate passed away on May 26th 2016 due to complications from a surgical procedure. She is survived by her life partner Bill Combs of the home. Three daughters - Susan Smith of Paden, Oklahoma; Terrie Dixson of Tribbey, Oklahoma; Buffy Tate of Houston, Texas.
Three Grandchildren - Micah Kosemund of San Diego, California, Keevin Dixson of Byars, Oklahoma; Emily Smith of Norman, Oklahoma; Two Great Grandchildren – Addison Kosemund of San Diego, California, Jaxon Williams of Norman, Oklahoma; Five Brothers & Sisters – Loretta Tiffin of Norman, Oklahoma, Shirley Weaver of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Helen Bonnell of Santa Cruz, California, Earnest Dutton of Coalgate, Oklahoma, Sue Reynolds of Tribbey, Oklahoma and a whole host of nieces & nephews, cousins, and friends!
She is preceded in death by one sister, Louise Johnson of Pink, Oklahoma, Two brothers, J.D. Dutton of Tribbey, Oklahoma, Ira Dutton of Las Vegas, Nevada, and her parents Margie & Leldon Dutton of Tribbey, Oklahoma.
June was born on April 27th 1942 at home six miles west of Tribbey. She attended & graduated from Tribbey Public Schools. She obtained her Associates Degree from Eastern Oklahoma State College.
June was an employee of Wanette Public Schools, The Department of Corrections, and worked as a small business owner before retiring. She was happiest outside doing yard work, picking up pecans, and sitting on the pond bank shooting turtles.
June’s love of travel led her on many adventures with friends & family. She enjoyed being around and with people. She was very “Social”. We love her and will miss her random out bursts of spontaneity and her zest for life.
Services will be held at Walker Funeral Chapel located 201 East 45th Street, Shawnee, Oklahoma on Tuesday May 31st, 2016 at 2:00 pm with Grave side services directly following at Council Creek Cemetery, six miles west of Tribbey on Slaughterville road.
Memorial donations may be made to the Susan G Komen Breast Cancer Organization or the American Heart Association in memory of June Dutton-Tate.
