James Ray Guffey

James Ray Guffey, 77, of Shawnee, died Monday, June 6, 2016 in Shawnee. Services will be 10:00 A.M. Friday, June 10, 2016 at Fairview Cemetery. James Ray Guffey was born June 27, 1938 in El Reno, Oklahoma to Ray Vernon Guffey and Cameal (Collins) Guffey. He attended El Reno schools. He served in the United States Navy as an aircraft mechanic. Mr. Guffey worked most of his life in the Internal Security business. He enjoyed working in his yard, woodworking, building birdhouses and doll houses for his granddaughters. Preceded in death by his parents, a grandson: Anthony Michael Stein, and a brother: Karl Guffey, Survived by: Wife: Maria Guffey of the home, 6 Children: Daneen and Drew Ducote, James Ray Guffey Jr. and Jessica, Kathy and Bob Truitt, Miguel and Raquel Gloria, Luis Hernandez, Yolanda Torrez, 16 Grandchildren, 5 Great-Grandchildren, 1 Brother: William Guffey and Nan, 1 Sister: June Koch, And numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
