Mark Duane Barnes

Mark Duane Barnes, 55, of Shawnee, OK, passed away June 17, 2016 at a local hospital. Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 25 at Sharon Baptist Church with Clint Dawkins officiating. Mark Duane Barnes was born June 6, 1961 in Shawnee, Oklahoma to Jack and Beth Barnes. He graduated from Shawnee High School in 1979. He worked as a butcher for various grocery stores in Shawnee and Seminole. He enjoyed playing his guitar, going to concerts, and spending time with his children and family. Preceded in death by his parents and a granddaughter, Jessica Knobel. Survived by 3 Children: Katrina Knobel and Billy Goodgion of Shawnee, Kyle Barnes of Bowlegs, Summer “Punky” Barnes of Seminole, 2 Grandchildren: Joshua Knobel and Evan Knobel, Uncle: Tony Barnes and wife Patsy, Aunts: Charlene Lynch and Jean Johnston, Close friend: Tony Morgan, And several other family members and friends.
