Marvin Joe Bohrer, 64, of Meeker, Oklahoma passed away Saturday, June 18, 2016 in a local hospital. Services will be 11:00 A.M. Friday, June 24, 2016 at Redeemer Lutheran Church with Pastor Lewis Walters officiating. Burial will be noon Saturday, June 25, 2016 Quinton, Oklahoma. Marvin Joe Bohrer was born October 22, 1951 in Wichita, KS to James and Maxine (Butterworth) Bohrer. He graduated from Wichita South High School and later attended Seminole State College. He served in the United States Air Force for over 10 years. On Nov. 18, 1972 he married Raynona (Gunther). Marvin worked at Tinker Air Force Base as an aircraft mechanic before retiring in 2006. He was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, V.F.W., Past President of A.B.A.T.E., and A.S.G.R., and was the President of the Bone Idle Club. He enjoyed reading, motorcycles, leather working, and genealogy. Preceded in death by his parents and a brother: Ted Bohrer. Survived by: Wife: Raynona Bohrer of the home, 2 Children: Kristina Martinez of Meeker, James Bohrer of Independence, MO, Sister: Marcy Rowell and husband Terry of Louisiana, Brother: Mike Bohrer and wife Judy of Wichita, KS, Brother in law: Alex and Wilma Gunther of Wichita, KS, And several other family members and friends.
