David M. Alexander, 69, of Dale, passed away Tuesday, July 5 in an Oklahoma City hospital.
Services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 9 at Walker Funeral Service chapel, with Pastor Doug Parker & Rev. Russell Currie officiating. Burial will follow in Dale Cemetery.
David was born April 2, 1947 in McLoud, OK to Ralph & Marie Alexander. He was a graduate of Dale High School. On May 27, 1966 he married Carol Roberts in Dale.
David was a sergeant in the US Army, serving in the Vietnam War, where he was awarded the Purple Heart. He retired from Oklahoma Natural Gas after 40 years.
He enjoyed spending time at the lake, bass fishing, camping and scuba diving, and was a member of the Dale Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph & Marie Alexander, and a brother Kenny Alexander.
Survivors include his Wife: Carol Alexander of Dale; Daughter: Nanci Alexander of Dale, grandson: Mason Alexander; Son: Jason Alexander and wife Cassie Alexander of Dale, grandson: Carson Alexander and granddaughter: Indie Alexander; Brother: Charles Alexander and wife Jodie Alexander of Dale; and numerous nieces & nephews and other relatives.
