Charles Boyd Lane

Charles Boyd Lane, 86, of Shawnee, died Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at his residence. Memorial Services will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, July 15, 2016 at Liberty Baptist Church with Rev. Phil Thompson officiating. Mr. Lane's cremains will be buried at Fairview Cemetery following the services. Charles Boyd Lane was born September 10, 1929 in Meeker, Oklahoma to Charley Henry Lane and Margarette (Hauch) Lane. He attended school in Meeker. He worked for Haney Oil Company and operated a DX Station in Shawnee for many years and later worked for Sooner Supply. He married Barbara (Gray) on September 16, 1985. Mr. Lane was a member of Liberty Baptist Church. He enjoyed visiting with and helping others. Preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers: Carlos and Elwood Lane. Survived by: Wife: Barbara Lane of the home, Children: Charles Lane and wife Judy of Newalla, Boyd Lane and wife Selma of Shawnee, Robert Lane of Shawnee, Winona Thompson of Shawnee, Janine Rivera and Chris Eads of Florida, 8 Grandchildren, 8 Great-Grandchildren, 2 Brothers: Vaile Lane and wife Linda of Norman, Richard Lane and wife Carol of TX, And numerous other family members and friends.
