McLoud resident, David Clinton Mauldin, 73, passed away Saturday, July 23, 2016 in a local hospital.
Services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at McLoud United Methodist Church with Rev. Russell Currie officiating. Burial will follow in Dale Cemetery. The family will be at the funeral home Tuesday, July 26 from 5-6 p.m. to visit with friends and family.
David was born March 27, 1943 in Stroud, Oklahoma to Vernon Clinton & Alice Florence (Fortune) Mauldin. He was a graduate of Dale High School, and retired from Tinker Air Force Base after 30 years. On November 27, 1961 he married Letitia Richards. He served in the United States Air Force for 4 years.
David enjoyed hunting, fishing, and raising a garden. He loved his family, his dog Lucy and the OKC Thunder. In his younger years he was a stock car driver. He was a member of the American Legion Post #0244 of McLoud and the Dale United Methodist Church
He was preceded in death by his parents, Vernon & Alice Mauldin, and brothers, Johnnie, Billie Dean, and Bobbie Mauldin
