Eddie James Cox, 53, of McLoud, Oklahoma died Tuesday, September 6, 2016 in Shawnee, OK. Memorial Services will be 11:00 A.M. Monday, September 12, 2016 at Walker Funeral Service Chapel with Rick Ham officiating. Eddie James Cox was born September 27, 1962 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Huey and Ila (Crook) Cox. He graduated from McLoud High School in 1980. On December 31, 1982 he married Kelly (Basinger). He worked as an equipment specialist at Tinker Air Force Base. Mr. Cox enjoyed watching NASCAR, OU football, golfing, 4-wheeling, hosting cookouts for friends and spending time with his family (especially his grandchildren). He was preceded in death by his father: Huey, and a sister: Debbie Cox. Survived by: Wife: Kelly Cox of the home, 2 Sons: Cody Cox and wife Kylie of McLoud, Clay Cox of McLoud, 2 Grandchildren: Emma and Harper Cox of McLoud, Mother: Ila Cox, Brothers: Dewayne Cox and wife Debbie of Eufaula, Donald Cox and wife Tonya of Porum, Sisters: Donna Shields and husband Steve of McLoud, Paula Pischl and husband Dan of McLoud, And several nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
