Jerry Don Cawvey

Jerry Don Cawvey, 67, of Shawnee, Oklahoma, died Wednesday, September 7, 2016 in a local hospital. Memorial Services will be 2:00 P.M. Monday, September 12, 2016 at Walker Funeral Service with Rev. Mary Whiteman officiating. Jerry Don Cawvey was born December 4, 1948 in Duncan, Oklahoma to John and Juanita Cawvey. He graduated from Shawnee High School in 1967. On June 15, 1966 he married Rhonda (Criss). He worked much of his life as a truck driver, retiring from Scrivner Inc. He also drove for Fleming Food and Cawvey Trucking. He was a member of A.M.A. and the Elks Lodge. He enjoyed fishing, going to the lake, and spending time with his grandkids. He was an honest, giving man that touched many lives. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survived by: Wife: Rhonda Cawvey of the home 2 Children: Tracey Cawvey and Barbara Martin of Shawnee, Tori Schimmel and husband Kevin of Shawnee, 6 Grandchildren: Baylee Schimmel, Kross Schimmel, Scout Cawvey, Seven Cawvey, Zach Hamblin, Emily Hamblin, Brother: Gerald Cawvey and wife Deb of CA, Nephews: Michael Bland Bentley Bland John Cawvey, Jason Cawvey, Brian Cawvey, Mother-in-Law: Margaret Criss of Shawnee Brother-in-Law: Michael Criss And several other family members and friends.
