Eddie Lynn Dunbar Penisten, age 68 of Shawnee, died Friday, September 16, 2016 at her home. Services will be Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Benedict Catholic Church. A Wake will be held Monday evening September 19th at 7:00 P.M. at the Church. The family has designated the St. Benedict Catholic Church Building Fund as appropriate for memorials. Eddie was born December 22, 1947 in Shawnee, Oklahoma to Burl & Linnie (Robison) Dunbar. She was a 1966 graduate of Tecumseh High School. On July 5, 1969 she married Michael Penisten at St. Benedict Catholic Church, she worked as a bookkeeper/office manager. She loved flower and vegetable gardening, spending time with her grandchildren and watching their ballgames. She was very faithful to her church. She was funny and loving to all and never failed to help a friend. She loved watching the sunrise. Eddie was a member of the Parish Guild, MOMS, Birthday Girls, Golden Hearts, and the St. Vincent dePaul Food Pantry. She made funnel cakes at the Parish Carnival, and enjoyed canning vegetables and sharing with everyone. She is survived by: Her husband: Michael Penisten Daughters: Kim Reed, and Michelle Banfield and her husband Mike Son: Patrick Penisten and his wife Alana Grandchildren: Connor, Tyler and Brooklyn Banfield, Tanner and Presley Reed Special Nieces: Cathy Hall and Kay Mitchell.
