Barbara Ann West, 67, of Tecumseh, Oklahoma, died Thursday, September 15, 2016 in Shawnee, Oklahoma. Wake services will be 7:00pm Tuesday at Walker Funeral Service Chapel. Funeral Services will be 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at Walker Funeral Service with Ben Little officiating. Burial will follow at Seminole Nation Veteran Cemetery. Barbara Ann West was born January 29, 1949 in Wewoka, Oklahoma to Robert Burgess and Ellen (Larney) Burgess. She was married to Frankie West for 41 years and worked much of her life as a housewife and homemaker. She also attended Bakersfield Community College. She was a loving wife, grandmother, and friend. She loved Rodeos (especially the horses). She was an avid reader, expert cake baker, and always took care of her family. She always carried snacks to all the ball games. She was preceded in death by her father: Robert Burgess, 2 brothers: Bobby and Ricky Burgess, and a sister: Lori Burgess. Survivors include her Husband: Frankie West, Son: Christopher Baker, Son: Franklin West, Grandchildren: Brandon West, Sophia West, Madden West, Sister: Cora Archer, Mother: Ellen Burgess, Special Friend: Teresa Pontius, Sister-in-laws: Pat Morgal of Wewoka, Cynda McGirt of Glen Rose, TN, Teresa McGirt of Wewoka, Brenda Dailey of Clarksville, TN, Brother-in-laws: Ambrose Cully of Tulsa, Jimmy Cully of Pauls Valley, Ben Emarthle of Wetumka, And numerous other family members and friends.
