Opal Rita Garner

Opal Rita Garner, 83, of Colcord, OK, died Friday, September 16, 2016 at her home. Graveside services will be 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at Dale Cemetery with Terry Scott officiating. Opal Rita Garner was born September 26, 1932 in Lake Village, Arkansas to Thomas Jefferson Poole and Beulah (Edgar) Poole. She married Daniel Lee Garner on September 23, 1955. She worked as a secretary in the oil industry. She had to quit school but in her 50’s, she went back to receive her G.E.D. She enjoyed arts and crafts, visiting with family and friends, and was always full of laughter. Preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Dan Garner, a grandson: Eric Snow, and brothers and sisters: Douglas Poole, Peggy Masterson Herlacher, Jimmy Jeff Poole, Margie Miller, and Tommy Poole. Survived by 3 Children: Bruce Garner of San Antonio, TX, Cassandra Abbott of Siloam Springs, AR, Debora Scott and husband Terry of Colcord, OK, 6 Grandchildren: Cristal Hubbard and husband Russell, Daniel Lee Garner II and wife Cami, Victor Bilby and wife Michelle, Misty Martin and husband Jason, T.J. Scott and wife Melissa, Dustin Scott and wife Andrea, 19 Great-Grandchildren, Brother: Larry Poole of California, And several other family members and friends.
