Willie Lee “Billie” Cox-Gambrell, 96, of McLoud, OK died Tuesday, September 27, 2016 in a local nursing home. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 30, 2016 at Walker Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Montie Campbell officiating. Burial will follow in Dale Cemetery. Willie Lee “Billie” Cox Gambrell was born June 2, 1920 in Lawrenceburg, TN, the daughter of Ernest M. and Myrtle Cox. On January 15, 1940 she married Clifford Bradford Gambrell. She worked as a certified medication aid (CMA) for 26 years, along with being a homemaker. The highlights of her life were faith and family. She was a member of Hazel Dell Baptist Church for 60 years. Billie was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Gambrell, parents Ernest and Myrtle Cox, one sister Gertrude Silvey and three brothers: Riley, James, and Leo Cox. Survivors include her 3 children, Charles and Linda Gambrell, Phyllis (Gambrell) Neal, and Dennis and April Gambrell. Grandchildren: Tammy and Jeff Murray, Mark and Jennifer Gambrell, Mandy and Waylon Ash, Brad and Julissa Neal, Deidre and Melvis Barnett, Pamela and Michael Westfall, and Kyle and Sarah Gambrell. Great-Grandchildren: Chase and Jessica Murray, Chelsi and Conley Blackwolf, Dayton and Sierra Gambrell, Shelbi Gambrell, Jordan, Hannah and Stroud Ash, Blaine Barnett, Hayle, Caleb and Braxton Westfall, Wesson and Kimber Gambrell. Great-great-grandchildren: Easton and Creed Murray, Caden and Grady Blackwolf. Many nieces and nephews, and her loving friends at Rose Manor, Mary and Norma. Special thanks to all of the loving staff at Rose Manor.
