Paul A Epperson

Paul A. Epperson died at his home on Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at the age of 73. He was born in Shawnee on August 2, 1943 to Paul “Buck” Epperson and Frances Carthen Epperson. He graduated from Shawnee High School in 1961 and OSU Technical Institute. He retired from Lucent Technologies after 28 years of service. He served in the Army Reserves. Paul loved classic cars, having owned several corvettes over the course of many years. In early 1990 he purchased and did a ground up restoration of a 1963 Split Window Corvette. He was very proud to show it at various car shows around the area. On October 9, 1964 he married Jane Walker in Shawnee, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister Tonia Parsons. He is survived by his wife Jane Epperson of the home, son, Brian Epperson and wife C.C., daughter, Paula Epperson. 5 Grandchildren: Michael Ware and wife Allison; Tanner Epperson; Brooke, Marshall and Carson Bradshaw. Three great grandchildren, Madelyn, Lyra and Preston Ware. Brother-in-law and sister-in-law Marilyn and Larry Richards, brothers-in-law Dwane Walker and Glen Parsons. Several nieces, nephews and a host of many close and dear friends. He was a member of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Tecumseh, Oklahoma. Services will be Monday, October 3, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, 1005 Kimberly Road, Tecumseh, Oklahoma with Brother Mack Peercy officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park, Shawnee, OK. The family will be at the funeral home Sunday afternoon from 2-4 p.m. to visit with friends and family. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Calvary Missionary Baptist Church Youth Fund.
