Former Shawnee resident, Velma Sue Neeley, 75, died Sunday, October 2, 2016 in Midwest City, Oklahoma.
Viewing will be Tuesday evening beginning at 5pm at Walker Funeral Service.
Graveside services will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at Resthaven Memorial Park with Pastor Larry Sparks officiating.
Velma Sue Neeley was born July 25, 1941 in Shawnee, Oklahoma to Joe and Audrey (Giddens) Shorney. She married Ron Neeley on February 24, 1961. She worked most of her life as a homemaker but also worked at Pratt’s Grocery for a few years. She enjoyed shopping, walking in the mall, gardening her flowers, feeding her cats and other animals and being outdoors.
Preceded in death by her parents, husband, sisters: Joanna Fowler and Louise Blasingame, and a brother: Charles Shorney.
Survived by 2 Daughters: Rhonda Campbell of Arkansas,
Tracy Grasso and husband Tony of Shawnee,
Step-grandchildren: Mark Grasso of Louisiana,
Damion Grasso of Florida,
Sean Grasso of Duncan, OK,
Audrey Johnson and husband Koty of TX,
Step-Great-Grandchild: Alexa Johnson,
Sister: Bernice Rose,
Sister-in-Law: Catherine Shorney,
Brother-in-Law: Bill Fowler,
