William Walker Suttle passed from his life on October 25, 2016 at the age of 81 at a local hospital ending a long 5 year illness. Walker was born on January 15, 1935 in Booneville, Arkansas to Jeff Davis Suttle and Nannie Lou Rene Suttle (Turner). Walker graduated from Shawnee High School in 1953. After graduation he begin his career in automotive repair in Shawnee. Walker married Ida Ruth Moore on January 15, 1955 in a ceremony held at the bride’s parent’s home in Shawnee, Oklahoma. Walker served in the U.S. Army from 1957 through 1959 in Chicago, IL at Nike Missile Base working as a radar technician. After his service, Walker returned to Shawnee to continue his automotive repair career. Walker enjoyed his family and spending time hunting and fishing at Duchess Creek on Lake Eufaula. Walker is survived by his wife, Ida Ruth, and family: Son Jeff and wife, Tina, along with grandson Matt Suttle and great grandchildren Madelynn and Brooklyn Suttle, and granddaughter Sara Murphy (husband Phillip) and a great grandchild Oliver. Son Greg and wife Bonnie along with grandchildren Carly and Greyson Suttle and step grandchildren Todd Skoruppa, and Sophie and Julia Schwarze, Son Jon, along with grandchildren Andrea and Samantha Suttle. Former daughters-in-laws Jeanne Walker and Pam Weiber Suttle Walker was preceded in death by his mother and father, parents-in-law Grady and Maggie Moore, sister and brother-in-law Seal and Jack Moore, and sister-in-law Phyllis Davis. The family is having a private memorial to celebrate Walker’s life. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, friends please make a donations to their church, favorite charity, or spend time with their family outdoors fishing at their favorite local lake.
