Lawrence David Swedberg

Lawrence David Swedberg,  74, of Shawnee, died Tuesday, November 8, 2016 in an Oklahoma City hospital. Services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 12, 2016 at  University Baptist Church with Dr. Steve Dominy officiating.  Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation with family will be from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, November 11 at Walker Funeral Service.   The family has designated Habitat for Humanity, 2215 SW 74th St., Okla. City, OK 73159 as appropriate for memorials. Lawrence was born August 21, 1942 in Denver, CO, the son of Willhelm David and Guinnevere (Marston) Swedberg.  On July 19, 1961 he married Nancy Camille Lynch in California.  She preceded him in death on January 17, 2008.   He worked for General Motors. He was also preceded in death by his parents, and  1 sister: Loretta (Swedberg) Flagmen of Colorado.   Survived by:                2 Children: David Lawrence Swedberg, and James & Jennifer Swedberg of Shawnee             Sisters: Arlone Grimes of Texas and Ruthie Burrier of Colorado             Grandchildren: Keith Swedberg, Travis Swedberg, Andrew Swedberg, Breanne Swedberg, Micah Swedberg, Malachi Swedberg, and Matthew Swedberg.             Several nieces and nephews, cousins, close friends of the family, and also his church family.
