Glen Edward Morgan, 59, of Meeker, died Monday, December 12, 2016 in Shawnee, OK. Funeral service will be at 10:00 A.M. Friday, December 16, 2016 at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church with Rev. R.J. Stokes officiating. Burial will be at 3:00 P.M. Friday at Fairview Cemetery in Pryor, Oklahoma. Glen Edward Morgan was born July 11, 1957 in Pryor, Oklahoma to Jack and Martha Morgan. He graduated high school in Stillwater, OK. He earned an associate’s degree at Cowley County in Kansas where he was on a football scholarship. He later earned a bachelor’s degree from Langston University. He married Renee (Caldwell) in 1978. He worked for O.G.&E, then Bechtel, and then Burns McDonnell as a Project Manager. He was later hired by Power Engineering as a Sr. Level 2 Project Manager. He was a member of P.M.P. and Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and telling stories. He also coached his son in wrestling, was an A.A.U. Freestyle Referee, and was chosen to referee the Olympic Trials. He was preceded in death by his Mother. Survived by Wife: Renee Morgan of the home; 1 Son: Tony Morgan and wife Marigail of Texas; 2 Grandchildren: Tony Morgan Jr. and Emily Morgan; Father: Jack Morgan and wife Neva Smith Morgan of Skiatook; 2 Brothers: Dr. Jackie Morgan Jr and wife Amanda of Broken Arrow, and Jerry Morgan and wife Marcia of Verdigris; and several nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
