Wesley Allen Blair

Wesley Allen Blair, 66, of Shawnee, died Sunday, January 1, 2017 at his residence. The family will be at Walker Funeral Service on Wednesday from 6pm to 8pm to receive friends.   Funeral services will be 10:00 am Thursday, January 5, 2017 at Redeemer Lutheran Church with Lewis Walters officiating.   In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Redeemer Lutheran Building fund.      Wesley Allen Blair was born September 28, 1950 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Rheubon “Jack” Blair and Mary Anna (Raymer) Blair.  He attended Shawnee High School.  He served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War as a Petty Officer 3rd Class.  On May 24, 1986 he married Sheila (Hawkins).  Mr. Blair worked at Tinker Air Force Base for 36 years before retiring in 2006.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, farming, and raising cattle.  He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his Wife: Sheila (Hawkins) Blair of the home, 3 Children: Dustin Allen Blair and wife Amber of Springfield, VA, Christi Ann Blair of Midwest City, and Christopher Lee Blair of Yukon; 3 Step-Children: Ronald Hawkins and wife Alison of Shawnee, Jason Downing and wife Eileen of Terre Haute, IN, and Steven Hawkins of OKC; 5 Grandchildren, 6 Step-Grandchildren, and 8 Great-Grandchildren; Twin Brother: Lesley Blair of Shawnee, 2 Sisters: Ramona Noakes and husband Vernon of Choctaw, Jackie Miller and husband Lowell of Midwest City; and numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
