Don H. Newton

Don H. Newton, 84, of Shawnee, died Monday, January 30, 2017 in an Oklahoma City hospital. Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 3, 2017 at Dale Cemetery with Glen Pence and Mark Guinn officiating.  Don was born April 8, 1932 in Carnegie, Oklahoma.  He served in the US Army during the Korean War, and received the Purple Heart.  On November 2, 1958 he married Glenda Chandler in Vernon, Texas.  He worked at TAFB and loved fishing, hunting, gardening, and just being outdoors. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Glenda Newton; 4 Sons and Daughters-in-Law, 11 Grandchildren and 16 Great Grandchildren.
