Shawnee resident Rita Faye Campbell, 83, died Tuesday, February 14, 2017 in Shawnee. Services will be 1:00 P.M. Friday, February 17, 2017 at Blackburn Chapel Baptist Church with Lloyd Campbell officiating. Burial will follow at Blackburn Chapel Cemetery. Rita Faye Campbell was born December 26, 1933 in Seminole, Oklahoma to Hugh and Dona (Guffey) Chesser. She graduated from Bethel High School and attended O.B.U. She married C. Lloyd Campbell on August 5, 1950. She worked as the secretary for Blackburn Chapel and the Pottawatomie-Lincoln Baptist Association and had worked at Sears. She was a member of Blackburn Chapel Baptist Church and enjoyed reading, scrapbooking, soap operas, and basketball. Preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son: Pepper Campbell, a son-in-law: Larry Cearley, a sister: Wanda Boehrer, and a brother: Bill Chesser. Survived by: 2 Daughters: Lyn Cearley of Shawnee, and Lea Davis and husband Ken of Liberty Township, Ohio; 1 Son: Lloyd Campbell of Dallas, TX; Sister-in-law: Betty Chesser of Vallejo, CA; 5 Grandchildren: Michael Mauney and wife Jan of Clinton, Michelle Nuckols and husband Chris of Cinncinati, OH, Cherylyn Painter and husband Josh of Tulsa, Kristen Macsas and husband William of Seminole, and Trey Campbell of Austin, TX; 8 Great-Grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
