Shirley Mae Spear Phillips entered into Heaven to spend eternity with God and all her loved ones who were awaiting her arrival on February 20, 2017. Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Friday, February 24, 2017 at Temple Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Craig officiating. Burial will follow at Tecumseh Cemetery. She was born near Wewoka, OK on May 24, 1925 to Edward Lewis Spear and Maude Laura Shirley Spear. She and Thomas W. Phillips were married on March 9, 1950. To them were born two daughters, Pamelia and April. She was Citizen Potawatomi Nation Tribal Member. She served as a volunteer cook at Falls Creek Baptist Assembly for 33 years. She loved her church, young people, her friends, and her family. She was the greatest and most loving Momma and Granny. She is preceded in death by her parents, daughter April, one sister, Mary Spear Wright, and two brothers, Theodore Lewis Spear and Jack Edward Spear. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Thomas W. Phillips, daughter Pamelia Phillips Stallings, son-in-law Mark O. Stallings, and her precious, much loved grandsons, Mark Andrew and Geoffrey Owen Stallings, also friends she considered closer than family, Ruth and Karl England, Steven Chlouber, Keith Chlouber, Michele Chlouber McNaughton, and their extended families. She will be loved forever and missed until we are together again, with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She is healed and she is home. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Falls Creek Baptist Assembly would be appreciated.
