Hershel N. Coomer

Hershel N. Coomer, age 86 of Shawnee, dies Thursday, March 2, 2017 in an Oklahoma City Hospital. Services will be Monday, March 6, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. in Walker Funeral Service Chapel, with Randy Jordan officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery.  Born November 14, 1930 in Prague, OK to Henry Harris & Ethel Pearl (Lowe) Coomer. He was a graduate of Centerview High School. Hershel was a firefighter for Shawnee, retiring after 26 years of service.  He was also employed in security at the Shawnee Mall. He was married to Joann Jordan He enjoyed watching his daughter Lisa and grandson Cason play various sports over the years.  He also enjoyed hunting and fishing Hershel was a member of the Firefighters Union He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, LaVerne Montgomery, and brother, Kenneth Coomer Survived by:                Wife: Joann Coomer             Daughter Lisa Coomer and special grandson Cason Coomer             Son: Ron (Jody) Coomer             Sons: Mike Coomer and Keith Coomer             Daughter: Debbie Meyers.
