Betty Ann Clifton

Betty Ann Clifton,  79, of McLoud, OK, died Tuesday, March 7, 2017 in Shawnee. Graveside services will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday, March 11, 2017 at Cumberland Cemetery in Cumberland Cove, Oklahoma. Betty Ann Clifton was born August 20, 1937 in Lindsey, Oklahoma to Robert Dale Belk and Rosie Belle (Haley) Belk.  She married Edward Woodrow Clifton on January 4, 1957.  She retired from AT&T after 25 years.  She enjoyed feeding and watching birds, spending time at her lake home, animals, spending time with family, and bible study. Preceded in death by her parents, husband, an infant brother “Bubba”, a brother Eulis Dale Belk, a sister Merle Goldman, and a son-in-law Mike Nicewander. Survived by 3 Children: Rosy Nicewander of McLoud, LaDonna Lynch and Ron of Ninnikah, and David Glen Clifton; 8 Grandchildren, 3 of which she raised: Daniel Clifton, Christopher Clifton, and Michael Clifton, and several great and great-great grandchildren, other family members and friends.
