Webb, Jacklin A. "Jackie", age 80, resident of Bethel, Oklahoma passed away Thursday, November 30, 2023 in Oklahoma City.
Jackie was born on Feb 18, 1943 in San Francisco, CA to Donald and Helen (Alaya) Britt. She was raised all over the world as her father was enlisted in the US Navy. As a young child she lived in California, Hawaii, Guam and a few other places before her family settled in the East Oklahoma City Metro when her father was stationed at Tinker Air Force Base. During high school, there was a fateful football game between Midwest City and Del City. Despite the intense rivalry between the schools, Jackie met James Webb from the opposing school in Del City and they hit it off. They were married on July 1, 1961 in Wewoka, OK, celebrating 57 years of marriage before his passing in 2018. Their marriage was blessed with two children Matthew and Christina. Jackie was an active lady. She enjoyed shopping, participating in square dances, Little League Baseball and was an exceptional bowler. Her favorite thing was to spend time with her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by those she loved and who loved her.
Survivors include her children: Matthew Webb and wife Dusty of Choctaw, OK, Christina Brown of Bethel, OK, grandchildren: Danielle Webb, Sarah Webb, Megan Bartholomew and husband Matthew, Christian Lena, Leif Lena, Dawn Webb, Gabriel Brown and Amelia Brown as well as 11 great grandchildren. Jackie was preceded in death by her parents, brother Donald Britt and her beloved husband.
Friends and loved ones may pay their respects at Walker Funeral & Cremation Service from 8am-6pm on Tuesday, December 5, 2023 and from 8am-12pm on Wednesday, December 6th. Jackie will be celebrated with a Mass of Christian Burial to be held at 2pm Wednesday, December 6, 2023 at St. Benedict Catholic Church, 632 N. Kickapoo Ave., Shawnee, OK. Following the Mass, Jackie will be laid to rest next to her husband James at the Rossville Cemetery north of Shawnee.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the St. Benedict Catholic Church, 632 N. Kickapoo Ave., Shawnee, OK 74801.
