Alice Wanda Cook

Alice Wanda Cook, 87, of Shawnee, Oklahoma died Tuesday, December 19, 2017 her home.Services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at Walker Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Kris Steele officiating.  Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Alice was born September 15, 1930 in Konawa, Oklahoma to Charles and Lonnie Hamrick.  In 1948 she graduated from Vamoosa High School.  She married Don Cook and worked as a bookkeeper at Finley and Cook.  Alice was a Master Gardener, avid swimmer and tennis player, wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed yard work, going to the lake, traveling and fishing.  She was a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church and the YMCA.She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles & Lonnie Hamrick, husband Don Cook, and her siblings, Barney Hamrick, Martha Thomas, and Jean Blaine.She is survived by her Children: Steve & Chris Cook, Bruce Troxel, Jim Troxel and Janis Young.Grandchildren: Carrie Clark, Jeffrey Cook, Shelly Troxel Tevis, Randy & Misty Troxel, Ashley Troxel, Kristi Troxel, and Cale & Kaytlin YoungNumerous Great Grandkids and 1 Great-Great Grandson.
