Alisa Dawn Beal

Alisa Dawn Beal, 63, of Harrah, Oklahoma, passed away on Monday, February 13, 2023.  Alisa was born on December 13, 1959, to Jack R. and Carolyn Sue Merritt in Tecumseh, Oklahoma. She graduated from Bethel High School and continued her education at Seminole State College, where she earned an associate degree in English. She also attended UCO.

Alisa graduated from culinary school and worked as a chef at Firelake Casino and as a crew chef for Tinker Air Force Base. Alisa enjoyed crafting, cross-stitching, and reading Shakespeare. She faithfully studied the bible and loved attending church activities.  She also enjoyed watching OU football.  

She was preceded in death by her father, Jack Merritt; brother, Rusty Merritt; and grandparents, Ralph and Pearl Guinn.

Those left to mourn her passing are husband, Daniel Beal of the home; son, Beau Carter; daughter-in-law, Lois Carter; grandchildren, Blake and Lydia Carter of Shawnee; mother, Sue Merritt; and brother, Jon Merritt, all of Shawnee.

Those who wish to pay their respects may do so on Saturday, February 18^th from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm with family available to greet friends from 1-3pm. Alisa will also be available for viewing on Sunday, February 19^th from 1-5pm.

A funeral ceremony will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 20, 2023, at the Walker Funeral Chapel with Mr. Jerry Knoblin officiating.
