Allecia Ann Edwards Packwood was born on November 11, 1935 in Paul’s Valley, Oklahoma to Cleo Carl and Mabel Lorraine (Plummer) Edwards. She entered her heavenly home on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 in Shawnee, Oklahoma. Services will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday, November 20, 2021 at Walker Funeral Service Chapel with Paul Calmes officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Fredrick Packwood, and an infant brother. Allecia grew up in Shawnee and graduated from Shawnee High School in 1953. She attended Oklahoma Baptist University where she met the love of her life Fred. They were married in 1955 and lived in Phoenix, Arizona until 1959 when they moved back to Shawnee. She was a member of First Baptist Church where she spent many years nurturing 4 year olds in Sunday School. In later years her Ladies Sunday School class was very important to her, and she enjoyed fellowship with them. She was also a breast cancer survivor who attacked cancer much like she lived life, with a positive attitude and a smile. She was a substitute teacher and worked at several pharmacies and gift shops, but will be best remembered for raising 4 amazing kids. Allecia is survived by her sister Marie Flurry and husband Bill of Sullivan, Mo, son Lynn Packwood and wife Donna of Manchester, MO, daughter Lori Packwood Haynie and husband Brad of Corsicana, TX, son James Packwood and wife Rochelle of Broomfield, CO, and son Carl Packwood and wife Cindy of Shawnee, grandchildren Matthew Packwood, Angela Packwood Hepburn, Carly Haynie, Taylor Packwood, Jonathon Packwood, and Isabella Packwood and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Memorials can be sent to American Cancer Society, American Heart Association, or the organization of your choice.
