Shawnee resident, Anna Marie Smith Jantz, 72, died Thursday March 11, 2021 at her home. Services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 16, 2021 in the chapel of Walker Funeral Service with Bro. Jeff Mendenhall officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Victory Chapel Church of God. The family will be at the funeral home on Sunday from 4-6 p.m. to visit with family and friends. Services will be livestreamed on the Walker Funeral Service facebook page. Due to City of Shawnee ordinance, masks are required. Anna was born October 28, 1948 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Charles R. and Betty Jean Smith. She attended Shawnee High School, graduating in 1966. On November 13, 1971 she married Charles E. Jantz. Anna was an Evangelist, Youth Leader, and Co-owner of Johnson Exploration. She was the Manager of the Golden Rule Home from 1999 to 2007, having previously worked at Vari-color, Round House, Mobil, and Central Plastics. She was a Cub Scout Den Leader at Bethel School. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles R. and Betty Jean Smith, brothers Merrill, Derrill and Charles Melton Smith, sister Teresa “Terri” Jean Madden, and her father and mother-in-law, David & Anna M. Jantz. Survivors include: Husband: Charles Jantz 2 Brothers & 1 Sister-in-Law: David Smith, and Charles “Chuck” and Kathy Smith Sister: Betty Nicholson Several nieces, nephews, and church family. Anna lived her life to please her Lord, and her goal was always to bring others with her to heaven. She will always be remembered as the closest example of Jesus on earth, faithful and loving to the end.
