Arthur T. McSparen

Arthur Theo McSparen, resident of Shawnee, passed away on Monday, June 12, 2023. He was 75 years old. Arthur was born in Dixon, IL on October 3, 1947 to Phillip McSparen, Jr. and Edna Marks. Arthur proudly served his country in the United States Army. After being honorably discharged, he worked at Tinker Air Force Base until retirement.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Edna Marks, brothers, Vic McSparen of Ottumwa IA, Rock Jessop of Centerville IA, sister, Trudie Howard of Ottumwa, IA and great-grandson, Wyatt Imry of Tahlequah, OK.

He is survived by his wife, Crystal McSparen of Shawnee, OK, his children, Maria and Todd Shepherd of Wichita, KS, Robin and Terry Cline of Sand Springs, OK, Rocky and Eve McSparen of Wichita, KS, Kenny and Teresa McSparen of Sapulpa, OK, and Mickey and Donna Toles of Agra, OK, sisters, Janet Lasley of Ottumwa, IA, Donna Punteney of IA, Karen Allen of IA, brothers, Randy McSparen, Sandy McSparen, and Rick McSparen, grandchildren, Amanda, Anisha, Jacob, Christina, Caleb, Marik, Braelyn, Tara, Rocky, Amanda, Josh, and Hannah and sixteen great-grandchildren.  

Those wishing to pay their respects may do so on Thursday, June 15, 2023 at Walker Funeral & Cremation Service until 6:00 pm. A funeral ceremony for Arthur will be held on Friday, June 16, 2023 at 2:00 pm at the Walker Funeral Chapel with pastor Sam Woods officiating.
