Audrey Allison Roach

Audrey Roach, age 73, a resident of Shawnee, Oklahoma, went to be with her Lord and Savior on December 15, 2022. She was born Audrey Allison Roach on October 13, 1949 to Leonard and Charlett Roach. She was raised in Broken Arrow and graduated from Broken Arrow High School in 1967. Audrey earned her bachelor in education at Oklahoma Baptist University in Shawnee, Oklahoma and later earned two master degrees at the University of Central Oklahoma in Counseling and English. For forty-five years Audrey enjoyed her passion for teaching and counseling. She taught high school English in Dale and McLoud and was a counselor at Jim Thorpe Academy in Shawnee. Audrey was a devout Christian and a member of University Baptist Church in Shawnee. Over the years, she taught Sunday school, was a member of the Benevolence team, chair of deacons, played hand bells, served meals on Wednesday nights, and was the Coordinator for Family Promise. Audrey loved her family, especially her two nieces, Lindsay and Allison. She was a big part of their lives and loved attending all their activities. She also loved her great nieces, Charlett and Olivia and was very involved in their lives. Audrey was blessed to have wonderful lifelong friends in her life. Audrey is survived by her mother, Charlett Roach, sister, Kathie Stout and husband Tom, niece Lindsay Cunningham and husband Aaron, niece, Allison Holmes and husband Caleb, great-nieces, Charlett and Olivia Holmes, her aunt and Uncle Charlene and Lewey Peters. She was preceded in death by her father, Leonard Roach. Audrey's kindness, generous nature, sense of humor and love was felt by everyone that crossed her path. She will always be in our hearts and dearly missed. Services will be Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at 11:00 a.m., University Baptist Church, 2515 N. Kickapoo Ave., Shawnee, Oklahoma 74804. Reverend Justin Dunn will officiate. The family requests memorials to: University Baptist Church Benevolence Fund 2515 N. Kickapoo Ave. Shawnee, Oklahoma 74804
