Bessie Mae Coffman entered this life on February 25, 1922 and went home to be with the Lord on April 17, 2017. Born in Shawnee, Oklahoma, Bessie grew up and made her home there with her husband, Bennie Coffman and their five children. Bessie was a talented seamstress and loved nothing more than sewing, being with her family and volunteering at Liberty Baptist Church in Shawnee, Oklahoma. Bessie is preceded in death by her mother, Mary Lavina Macomb; father, Frances Reaves Fain; husband, Bennie Joseph Coffman; sister, Hettie Lou Fain; brother, Clifton Fain; brother, Melvin Fain; brother, Harvey Fain; sister, Dessie Johnson; daughter, Lawana Huff;  daughter-in-law, Paula Coffman and daughter-in-law, Francis Coffman. She is survived by her son, Robert Coffman and his wife, Charon; daughter, Carolyn Ray and her husband, Gene; son, Albert Coffman and son, David Coffman. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Visitation will be at Walker Funeral Services beginning Friday, April 21. Funeral services for Bessie will be at Liberty Baptist Church, 711 E Federal St, Shawnee, OK  on Saturday, April 22 at 2:00 pm with graveside services following at Blackburn Chapel, 36305 Lake Rd, Bethel Acres, OK.
